Working Behind the Scenes

Our projects tend to be printed and shipped in waves. This week we had five projects to wrap and ship out all at the same time. A lot of people don’t realize what goes into those last minute tasks, especially that we hand-assemble our liners.

Our Project Manager Tom assembles all our envelope liners by hand and this week he assembled more than 500 of them. Here’s a little behind-the-scenes action of this weeks packing marathon.

No Cats Allowed
Up early to start the assembly marathon. We clean down our desks and imprison the cats.
Step 1: Glue. We score each envelope by hand and then carefully paste glue onto the reverse of each liner.
Step 2: Seal. We carefully seal the liner to the flap of the envelope.
Step 3: Pack. We insert each piece of stationery into each envelope.
Step 4: Finesse. We carefully open and close each envelope to make sure the tricky corners are properly sealed.
Tired Tony
After we've finished assembling envelopes it's time to organize shipping. At that point Pepperoni Tony is released to reclaim our desk space. It's been a long day.
Afternoon sunshine
Finally a beautiful afternoon to admire.

The last month of the year deserves a brief retrospective and if there’s one thing that sticks out to me about 2019, it’s the increasing demand for crests that depict the nuances of the combined personality of each couple + each wedding. I’m featuring a collection of standout crests from the past year.

October 2019’s Projects

Claire and Howard’s project was so versatile and fully fleshed out that I’m only publishing it now that the big day has come and gone. The aesthetic ranges from formal and elegant wedding day related pieces to the more playful, painterly gifts and accent pieces. It’s an extensive project that I’m proud to have in Read the rest.
