July 2017’s Projects
By Jolly Edition
We threw all our best ideas into July’s projects, many of which included spectacular formats and embellishments. Die cutting, hand deckling, letterpress, fancy sparkly envelope liners, luxury paper, accordion-folding maps, gold foil printing — July had it all.
We made one of our favorite suits of the year in a new format for us; a square fold-out piece that reminds us of a present. Kathleen and Yonatan are getting married at the groom's beautiful family home in Israel, complete with oranges, olive trees and lavender. We love the contrast between the cover's solid dusty pink color with the delicate watercolor illustrations on bright white.
Kathleen and Yonatan's invitation unfolded.
Another stunner is Kelsey and Foster's wedding invites. It's a beautiful, tactile set that is letter pressed on soft, textured paper with gold ink and hand-torn edges. The cover wrap has a blind embossed imprint of their venue, Chateau St. Jean and wraps around their invitation, map of Sonoma and their simple RSVP.
Shelly's Gray Malin inspired invitation set. The saloon door fold out format with center mounted wedding invitation, side pockets that hold her wedding map, brunch card, and bonfire card.
Annick asked us for a romantic invitation suite to match the understated beauty of her Italian hilltop wedding. We created her invitation, postcard featuring their hilltop ceremony space, menu, and thank you card.
Sara asked us to create a book-fold wedding invitation with a cover that looks like a fairy-tale to introduce her fairy-tale wedding set in Croatia. Inside opens to a map of Dubrovnik spread across three pages.
A bold autumnal invitation fold-out for Allie & Jake complete with gold foil letterpress, deep burgundies, wines, and dahlias. We were able to provide an invitation, order of events, details card and rsvp in one fold out piece. Along with a very cute cameo from the couple's white furry pup.
